Clad Countertop Bracket

Well designed, engineered and finished L shaped support brackets. These are the thickest and sturdiest L brackets we've seen that are specifically designed to support counter overhang such as on an island or peninsula. That said, the 12mm thickness being about a half an inch of metal, be prepared to cut small half inch kerfs into the top most edge of the woodwork you'll be attaching these to.. otherwise, you'll find that the countertop will have to sit on the extra half inch the bracket presents where it comes up over the wall of the cabinet.. which means it will teeter and cause a potential stress point which could result in cracks in your counter.

The diagram in the listing should give you a better idea of why these relief cuts will be necessary, but it's pretty opaque in that it doesn't show the cut al depth of the bracket from the top surface of the cabinet edge underneath where the counter will sit. The easiest way to make these small cuts is with a jug saw or oscillating tool. Good luck! These brackets will definitely support your overhang though!
