warranty policy

Balin Designs LLC ("we," "us," or "our") provides a limited warranty on Balin Designs products against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use and proper care. This warranty applies to all Balin Designs products unless otherwise stated below.

Warranty Period
The warranty period begins on the original date of purchase and is valid for:
• Shelf brackets: 1-year limited warranty
• Door hardware and hooks: 1-year limited warranty
• Cabinet hardware: 5-year limited mechanical warranty

Cabinet Hardware Mechanical Warranty Scope
The cabinet hardware mechanical warranty applies to functional failures of moving or structural components under normal use, including:
• Threading defects
• Structural breakage
• Mounting integrity failures caused by manufacturing defects
This mechanical warranty does not cover finish wear, surface scratches, or cosmetic aging.

Warranty Coverage
This limited warranty covers verified manufacturing defects, including:
• Structural or functional defects in materials
• Manufacturing faults affecting usability
• Finish defects present at the time of delivery

Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
• Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or improper handling
• Improper installation or installation not following recommended guidelines
• Use of third-party hardware or mounting components
• Normal wear and tear, including scratches, patina, or finish aging
• Cosmetic damage occurring after installation
• Damage caused by overloading beyond recommended capacity
• Environmental exposure (moisture, chemicals, outdoor use unless specified)
• Labor costs, installation costs, wall repair, or incidental property damage

Warranty Remedy
If a product is determined to be defective within the applicable warranty period, Balin Designs LLC will, at its sole discretion:
• Repair the product, or
• Replace the defective item with the same or comparable product
This remedy constitutes the sole obligation under this warranty.

How to Submit a Warranty Claim
To initiate a warranty claim, please contact Info@BalinDesigns.com within the applicable warranty period and provide:
• Proof of purchase
• Order number
• Photos and description of the issue
Failure to provide requested documentation may delay or void warranty evaluation.

Limitations
This limited warranty:
• Applies only to the original purchaser
• Is non-transferable
• Covers product replacement only
• Does not extend to consequential, incidental, or indirect damages

Policy Modifications
Balin Designs LLC reserves the right to modify or discontinue this warranty policy at any time without prior notice.
