Limited Product Warranty

Effective Date: July 6, 2026

Balin Designs LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a limited warranty on select Balin Designs products against verified defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use, proper installation, and proper care.

This warranty applies only to products purchased directly from Balin Designs or through an authorized sales channel. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser, is non-transferable, and begins on the original date of purchase.

Warranty by Product Category

Cabinet Hardware
Balin Designs cabinet hardware is covered by a 5-year limited mechanical warranty.

This includes cabinet knobs, pulls, T-pulls, edge pulls, cup pulls, appliance pulls, and similar cabinet hardware products.

This warranty applies to verified manufacturing defects affecting the mechanical or structural function of the product, including threading defects, structural breakage, or mounting-integrity failures caused by manufacturing defects.

Some Balin Designs cabinet hardware products are made from solid brass. Brass is a natural living material and may naturally darken, tarnish, develop a patina, or otherwise change in appearance over time. This process may accelerate if the hardware is exposed to moisture, humidity, chemicals, harsh cleaning products, oils, salt air, improper care, or other environmental conditions. 

Tarnishing, patina, finish aging, surface scratches, and other cosmetic changes are not considered defects and are not covered under this warranty.

This warranty does not cover finish wear, surface scratches, patina, tarnishing, cosmetic aging, improper installation, misuse, environmental exposure, or normal wear and tear.

Brass Door Handles and Crystal Door Knobs
Balin Designs brass door handles and crystal door knobs are covered by a 3-year limited mechanical warranty.

This warranty applies to verified manufacturing defects affecting the mechanical or structural function of the product under normal residential use.

This warranty does not cover improper installation, door-alignment issues, latch or strike-plate alignment issues, loose screws resulting from normal use, misuse, damage caused by force, finish wear, surface scratches, crystal scratches, patina, tarnishing, cosmetic aging, or normal wear and tear.

Shelf Brackets
Balin Designs shelf brackets are covered by a 1-year limited warranty against verified defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use and proper installation.

This includes decorative shelf brackets, heavy-duty shelf brackets, floating shelf brackets, countertop shelf brackets, hanging shelf brackets, folding shelf brackets, and similar bracket products. 

This warranty does not cover improper installation, use of improper anchors or mounting hardware, installation into unsuitable wall surfaces, overloading beyond the recommended capacity, wall damage, shelf damage, or incidental property damage.

Wall Hooks
Balin Designs wall hooks are covered by a 1-year limited warranty against verified defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use and proper installation. 

This warranty does not cover improper installation, use of improper anchors or mounting hardware, damage caused by overloading, wall damage, misuse, finish wear, scratches, patina, tarnishing, or cosmetic aging.

Brass Door Hinges
Balin Designs brass door hinges are covered by a 1-year limited warranty against verified defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use and proper installation.

This warranty does not cover improper installation, door-alignment issues, door-weight issues, frame movement, loose screws resulting from use, squeaking, sagging doors, misuse, finish wear, scratches, patina, tarnishing, or cosmetic aging.

Brass Door Stops
Balin Designs brass door stops are covered by a 1-year limited warranty against verified defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use and proper installation.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by impact, force, misuse, improper installation, loose mounting resulting from use, finish wear, scratches, patina, tarnishing, or cosmetic aging.

Brass Furniture Legs
Balin Designs brass furniture legs are covered by a 1-year limited warranty against verified defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use and proper installation.

This warranty does not cover improper installation, furniture instability, uneven flooring, overloading, improper mounting surfaces, loose mounting resulting from use, scratches, finish wear, patina, tarnishing, or cosmetic aging.

Electrical Switches, Dimmers, and Outlets
Balin Designs electrical switches, dimmer switches, and electrical outlets are covered by a 1-year limited warranty against verified defects in materials and workmanship under normal indoor residential use, proper installation, and proper care.

This includes toggle switches, dimmer switches, single-pole switches, three-way switches, standard outlets, GFI/GFCI outlets, USB outlets, USB-C outlets, and similar electrical products. 

Electrical products must be installed by a qualified electrician and in accordance with all applicable electrical codes, product specifications, load ratings, wiring requirements, and installation instructions.

This warranty applies only to verified manufacturing defects affecting the function or usability of the product.

This warranty does not cover improper installation, incorrect wiring, use with incompatible bulbs, fixtures, transformers, dimmable drivers, or electrical systems, overloading, power surges, electrical faults, tripped breakers, damage caused by moisture or humidity, outdoor use, misuse, alterations, or normal wear and tear. 

For dimmer switches, compatibility with specific bulbs, LED drivers, transformers, fixtures, or lighting systems is not guaranteed unless expressly stated. Flickering, buzzing, limited dimming range, inconsistent dimming performance, or other compatibility-related issues are not considered manufacturing defects.

For GFI/GFCI outlets, tripping caused by wiring issues, ground faults, moisture, connected devices, circuit conditions, or improper installation is not considered a manufacturing defect. 

This warranty does not cover labor costs, electrician fees, installation costs, removal costs, reinstallation costs, electrical troubleshooting, wall repair, property damage, incidental damages, or consequential damages.

Wood Shelves
Wood shelves are not covered by a product warranty due to the natural characteristics of wood and the installation and environmental factors that may affect the product over time.

Wood shelves must be inspected upon delivery. Any damage, defect, incorrect item, or other issue present at the time of delivery must be reported to Balin Designs within 5 days of delivery, together with photos and order details. 

Natural variations in wood grain, color, tone, texture, knots, mineral streaks, and finish appearance are not considered defects. 

Warping, cracking, swelling, shrinking, splitting, moisture damage, humidity-related movement, improper support, improper installation, overloading, or environmental exposure are not covered.

Other Products
Any Balin Designs product that does not fall into one of the categories listed above is covered by a 1-year limited warranty against verified defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use and proper care, unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Warranty Coverage
Where applicable, this limited warranty covers verified manufacturing defects, including:
• Structural or functional defects in materials
• Manufacturing faults affecting usability
• Mechanical or mounting defects caused by manufacturing issues
• Finish defects present at the time of delivery

Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
• Damage caused by misuse, accidents, force, or improper handling
• Improper installation or installation that does not follow recommended guidelines
• Use of third-party hardware, screws, anchors, or mounting components Normal wear and tear, including scratches, patina, tarnishing, finish aging, or cosmetic aging
• Natural variations in wood, brass, stone, crystal, marble, or other natural materials
• Cosmetic damage occurring after delivery or installation
• Damage caused by overloading beyond the recommended capacity
• Damage caused by improper wall, cabinet, door, furniture, or surface preparation
• Electrical issues caused by improper wiring, incompatible fixtures, incompatible bulbs or drivers, power surges, overloaded circuits, circuit faults, code violations, or installation by an unqualified person
• Environmental exposure, including moisture, humidity, chemicals, cleaning agents, salt air, or outdoor use, unless the product is specifically stated as suitable for such use
• Labor costs, installation costs, removal costs, wall repair, cabinet repair, furniture repair, door repair, electrician fees, electrical troubleshooting, or incidental property damage
• Consequential, incidental, indirect, or special damages

Warranty Remedy
If a product is determined by Balin Designs LLC to be defective within the applicable warranty period, Balin Designs LLC will, at its sole discretion:
• Repair the product; or
• Replace the defective item with the same or a comparable product.

This remedy constitutes the sole obligation under this warranty.

How to Submit a Warranty Claim
To initiate a warranty claim, please contact Info@BalinDesigns.com within the applicable warranty period and provide:
• Proof of purchase
• Order number
• Photos of the issue
• A description of the issue
• Any additional information requested to evaluate the claim

Failure to provide requested documentation may delay or prevent the warranty evaluation.

Limitations
This limited warranty:
• Applies only to the original purchaser
• Is non-transferable
• Applies only to normal residential use
• Covers product repair or replacement only
• Does not cover labor, installation, removal, electrician fees, electrical troubleshooting, or related costs
• For electrical products, applies only when the product has been properly installed by a qualified electrician and used in accordance with applicable electrical codes and product specifications
• Does not extend to consequential, incidental, indirect, or special damages

Policy Modifications
Balin Designs LLC reserves the right to modify or discontinue this warranty policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will apply to purchases made after the updated policy’s effective date.
