Load Heavy Duty Shelf Bracket

These brackets are extremely sturdy and solid. They are a little challenging to install because of the weight but that was to be expected in terms of the build quality. They look great and fit the application I had for them perfectly. Make sure you are getting these for the right reasons because using them for standard household applications may be a bit overkill. The wall will break before these bend.

These heavy duty mantel brackets by Balin Designs are just... wow. They are super heavy. I read the product description but didn't really believe it, ha. I originally got these brackets to install deep shelves over a workbench. These brackets would definitely work for that but I felt it would be a waste of their abilities. They are so heavy duty!Due to their meatiness, these brackets inspired me to finish up a project I've been putting off of adding a floating countertop/work surface down one side of my shop. These are more than adequate to hold up anything I'll be working on here. The countertop is 18" deep and 6 feet long. I made it from pieces of 3/8" scrap plywood that are two layers thick so it already weighs about 40 pounds. I used all four brackets for this and screwed them directly into studs. There is definitely no problem holding up the wood countertop. I also sat myself on it and there was no give/bend to the surface with me sitting on it. It can certainly hold a lot more weight.In case you are planning to use these where they'll be visible, they are nice looking brackets. They are powder coated black and neatly shaped and finished off. They are a clean, simple design. They were also packed super carefully by the manufacturer so they arrived in perfect condition.These are definitely worth the price.

This is a very impressive set of unbraced shelf brackets.First of all, the dimensions are accurate. These are big, heavy and fit for purpose. All screwholes are nicely countersunk. Screws are included for this, along with what would be needed for drywall and concrete installation .Overall, if you really need this style of bracket, go for it.

Hight strength, heavy duty shelf brackets. Very impressed when opening up the box. These are heavy, they are just what I was looking for to supplement an area above a shelving unit we have in our shed. The three tiers shelf we have left a lot of space above it that would get better use if it was divided by another shelf. Due to the barn style roof of our shed, it left the area with a more shallow space above the existing tier shelving. These brackets screwed directly to the side wall support studs so I didnt need to use the anchors. But it is worth mentioning that the set comes with two types of wall anchors included and also a drill bit for properly pre-drilling your mounting holes whether in drywall or masonry.These are of great quality and will be able to handle a lot of weight. We will be using it primarily to shelf all of our container products such as oil for landscape equipment and various garden sprays.

It you find a stud with these, you could probably hang an elephant. They are SUPER heavy duty. They do come with FAT sheetrock screws, a drill bit to pre-drill the holes for the sheetrock screws, and a level to help you when hanging, but honestly, I think for something this heavy, I'm not sure if I would trust it in the sheetrock. They're gorgeous and definitely have an industrial vibe to them.

I used two of these brackets to support an 18" shelf to hold a stereo amplifier, CD player, and a turntable. Very sturdy. The structural support underneath makes sure the bracket is rigid. Yet, it has a subtle profile by eliminating a long angular segment. I previously bought another brand that does not have a segment underneath, it specified the bracket was sturdy and could be used to support the overhang for a kitchen counter. Although strong, it would bend with little pressure...and it was not constructed at a 90º angle.
